How this website collects and uses personal information for contact, quote and report enquiries.
Who we are
Totally Guttered Ltd operates this website. Phone 0800 700 708. Email office@totallyguttered.co.nz.
What we collect on this website
Contact
If you use Contact we receive your name, email, optional phone, message, and whether you opted in to occasional updates.
Request a quote
If you use Request a quote we receive the details needed to understand the job and arrange a site visit. Depending on your answers, that can include the problem description, property address, your contact details, ownership or rental/management details, tenant or site-contact details where you ask us to use them, quote-to and payer details where relevant, access notes, preferred visit timing, and optional photos or documents.
Giving us a tenant’s or site contact’s details is not permission to enter the property. We use those details to arrange a visit you asked for, unless you tell us otherwise.
Request a report
If you use Request a report we receive the property address, purpose of the report, your contact details and relationship to the property, optional company name, access notes, who should receive the written report, preferred inspection timing, optional concerns, and optional supporting files.
Why we collect it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, arrange site visits or inspections, confirm scope and pricing, carry out agreed work, and (only if you opted in on Contact) send occasional Totally Guttered updates. Quote and report forms do not include a marketing opt-in.
How submissions are handled
This site can receive form submissions through our hosting and application infrastructure (including Cloudflare Workers with a private object store for uploads, and/or Netlify Forms where that path is still in use). Durable quote and report records are stored so we do not lose an accepted enquiry if a notification email fails. Uploaded files are stored privately — they are not published as public web pages.
Notification emails about enquiries are sent to Totally Guttered operational inboxes so we can action them. Emails may include a generated job sheet or report summary and, where you uploaded files, copies of those attachments within practical size limits.
Someone else’s information
If you give us someone else’s personal information (for example a tenant, owner, property manager or report recipient), New Zealand privacy law can require us to take reasonable steps so that person knows we hold it (including under Information Privacy Principle 3A where it applies). If that is you, contact us and we will respond.
Files
Photos, plans and documents are optional. They help us prepare for a visit or report. They are not a quote on their own. Do not upload files you are not entitled to send us.
Access and correction
You can ask what personal information we hold about you from these website forms, and ask us to correct it. Email office@totallyguttered.co.nz or call 0800 700 708.
How long we keep website enquiry information
Operational details from Contact, Quote and Report requests — including uploads and generated enquiry documents — are kept in our website systems for about 30 days after we have sent the quote or report, or otherwise finished handling the enquiry. We then delete them from that storage.
If you opted in to occasional updates on Contact, we keep only what we need to manage that marketing and your consent (for example your name, email and consent status). That is separate from keeping the whole enquiry. You can ask us to stop marketing updates at any time.
We do not publish a full list of every subprocessor staff inbox, or an automated self-service deletion portal. If you ask us to delete or correct information, email office@totallyguttered.co.nz or call 0800 700 708.
Calls and email outside the forms
If you phone or email us directly, we will have whatever you tell us in that conversation. This page focuses on the website forms and related automated handling.
This page describes our website practices in plain English. It is not legal advice.
